What I Learned In School Today: Students learn how to treat one another by how we treat them.

When teachers interact with their students, they are modeling acceptable and expected behaviors at all times. Students learn from what we teach them but also from how we treat them and one another. If we are short, terse, sarcastic, or rude, our students with learn those modeled actions and repeat them with one another. We don't only teach academics but also interactions, interpersonal skills, manners, and kindness. Don't ever forget that our kids are watching and learning every moment we are with them.
